I did some repotting on this last day of 2017.
This is a cultivar of Adromischus called "Hummel's Silver" see the link below for more info:

My daughter Noe got me interested in succulents in early 2016 and ever since we've been on a quest!!! Naturally with so many new plants around, we needed pots to put all of them into. The typical pots you can buy from the big box stores just don't have character that suits these incredibly interesting plants. So we've both been making our own pottery. And now we're branching out into other plants - Aeroids, Orchids and Citrus!!! Check out what our green thumbs have been doing!!!

Adenium Seeds
My cousin Paul gave Noe and I a bunch of Adenium seeds. I've got the set I'm growing potted up and waiting for the first standups.

Repotted Portulaca lutea
And I've been meaning to repot this one for a really long time.
It also got a trim (of the dead sections).
Repotting Cactus
I've been meaning to repot some plants that have been growing slowly. I'm thinking the current pots are stunting the growth.
Now they are up potted!
Now they are up potted!
I also pulled this Pilosocereus azureus and repotted it as well. Hopefully it'll gain some more growth this coming year with more space for roots to fill in.

Ariocarpus agavoides Update
By the time I got home, the flowers had already closed up. But Noe did say she was able to cross pollinate them.
I'll update this post when I download the pictures she sent while I was away. Here's the update -
Hopefully I'll get flowers again this time next year -

Something Amazing!!!
My small Ariocarpus agavoides is going to bloom!
I took this picture before I let on a trip back to the mainland. I asked Noe to keep track of its progress for me while I was gone and she sent me the picture below.
As this is the first time I've even seen an Ariocarpus bloom, let alone an agavoides, I'm not sure how long it takes to open, or how long they last. I'll post more as things develop.

CSSH 2017 Holiday Party!!!
The last event of the year for the CSSH was held yesterday evening - the Holiday Party!!! Every one was really pumped as the main event (behind eating) was the plant raffle. Everyone brings out their prized plants/pots/items that they want to donate. People buy tickets and write their name on the back, then drop them in the cup for the item they are interested in winning. We didn't come home empty handed!!!
