Euphorbia platyclada

While cleaning the benches, I notice this Euphorbia platyclada has a flower.

Pretty tiny, but I'm really glad I got to see it.  A sign that the plant is happy and willing to divert energy to flowering.

Euphorbia platyclada Update September 9, 2018

I recently repotted these plants into slight larger accommodations.  I am totally intrigued by the coloration.  It seems to be getting stronger with direct sunlight.

Euphorbia platyclada Update

Update on the E. platyclada -

I have three cuttings of this plant growing in different containers.  Getting it to take off has been trying... they are on their own time - but there has been incremental progress.

Euphorbia platyclada

This is a really ugly plant!!!  I love it!!!

No - its not dead - it just looks like it

The literature on the web is conflicting on this regarding growth rate.  Some sources say it is a fast grower, others say slow.  But they converge on the lighting requirement - bright shade.  Water in the growing season (May to September).

I'll grow them out in these 2" pots for a while.  Ugly plants rule!!!
