Pohinahina

This isn't a cactus or succulent, but it is a wonderful Native Hawaiian plant.


I might expand the scope of this blog to document the growth of the non-succulent Hawaiian plants I have (Kalo which have corms, 'Akia, and this Pohinahina).

Kokee Museum

The Kokee Museum has a book of watercolor paintings of native plants. They mounted each plant (and I took a picture of each one so you all can enjoy it). These are out of order - just enjoy them!!!

Plants at Windward Community College

I took Marlon over to Windward Community College this Saturday to participate in the Regional Science Olympiad. The campus had lots of native Hawaiian plants (of which I have a soft spot for)... And more chickens than people -
