Nursery Surfing - Kawamoto's Orchid Nursery

We still had some time to kill before our next stop so I took the family to Kawamoto's Orchid Nursery. This place was dangerous for us - primarily because we are trying to control our plant acquisition syndrome and they have some really nice orchids. They also had a huge selection of Tillansia. Noe and I did purchase one each and we also got some planting media (tree fern pucks and a grapewood branch). Nice nursery if you are visiting Palolo Valley. These last few are from La's phone.

Nursery Surfing - Kapiolani Community College Farmer's Market

We were running around town yesterday. Our first stop was the KCC Farmers Market. The vendors we were hoping to meet were not there, but we did pick up some local honey and saw some interesting plants (what is this???). And when you stop at the Farmers Market, you might as well take a walk through the Cactus and Succulent Garden. Getting some ideas for the trellis we're going to have to build for the dragon fruit plants. Some practical ceramics (Noe wants me to make one). Stapeliads and Cacti Very large Desert Rose plants and one really round one (small guy among the giants). We enjoy our visits to the KCC Gardens! More from La's phone

Another New Plant - Uncarina roeoesliana

This is another plant I got from the Tina's Nursery shipment (yes it was a while back - I've been busy with fixing things and the Holidays...). Since I potted it, the leaves that were on the plant have essentially been replaced. I was a bit worried as the plant looked like it had a rough shipping trip, but it looks a lot healthier now. It is a young plant, but I'm not going anywhere for a while.
