It's too bad these plants pretty much die after flowering. This one has been a nice specimen in our garden. No use fretting over the inevitable - better to enjoy the present.

Kalanchoe luciae Growing a Flower Spike
The spacing between the leaf-stem joints is starting to lengthen from what I've previously seen from this plant. Pretty much indicative that this plant will be sending up a flower spike shortly.
It's too bad these plants pretty much die after flowering. This one has been a nice specimen in our garden. No use fretting over the inevitable - better to enjoy the present.
