My daughter Noe got me interested in succulents in early 2016 and ever since we've been on a quest!!! Naturally with so many new plants around, we needed pots to put all of them into. The typical pots you can buy from the big box stores just don't have character that suits these incredibly interesting plants. So we've both been making our own pottery. And now we're branching out into other plants - Aeroids, Orchids and Citrus!!! Check out what our green thumbs have been doing!!!

Fun with the Venus Flytrap
In our neck of the woods (or more accurately "corner of the island") our bug problem is limited to mealy bugs, ants (these two are almost one and the same), and black flies. Well, with this plant around, we have changed our approach to fly swatting.
Instead of trying to whack them into oblivion, we now try to just stun them. When successful, we then bring them to this plant - the Mighty and Noble Venus Flytrap!!!! Kept in bright shade, this plant has been doing fine (our humidity levels have been pretty high lately - I'm surprised our succulents aren't revolting...).
