The Latest Repots

I ended up repotting a few plants - mainly to inspect the roots of the cuttings and to refresh the media a bit. Maybe overkill, but it can't hurt so why not. First up is a leaf from one of our Portulaca molokiniensis. It amazes me how quickly a leaf can develop roots. Granted, a new plant springing up from this leaf will take some time, but look at how quickly the roots have developed - this is after only a couple of days!

Next up is the Cissus quadrangularis - I've been posting on the new growth for quite some time now, but the roots weren't as developed as I thought they would be. Reflecting on that and how the growth has come along, perhaps this is a push after the initial rooting (roots push down from a raw cutting, then the plant invests in additional photosynthetic structure and continues balanced growth from there... I am a total amateur when it comes to botany, but that's my guess from observing plenty of cuttings and seedlings grow).

This is an Adenium arabicum from Perla. It's growing nicely, so I wanted to give it some room (it was in a 2" pot).
