Ant Plant Seedlings

These seeds germinate within a day of being sown in long fiber sphagnum moss - two days!!!

 

And further development seems to be equally rapid. This is the first ant plant (Hydnophytum) seed I planted and it's developing some seriously swollen sections. It germinated just over two weeks ago (from looking back through the blog entries - this is exactly why I do this!!!)
