Smaller Pseudobombax ellipticum Mid-season Update

So here we are in the last third of summer.  This plant has been growing in full sun for several months now, and I up-potted it once (because I needed the pot it was in before for another plant).

It has sent branches up in quite a few directions.

At first glance, it looks as if the trunk has swollen a bit - but in comparing it to pictures I took back in March when I first got it, it looks greener, but not necessarily fatter.

It has definitely grown, but for now I'll call the growth "upward" and not "outward"
